TRENTON BUREAU OF ANIMAL CONTROL

Our Featured Dog is Celine!

This is Celine! A diva of a dog, this girl holds her head high, prances instead of walks, and strikes a pose for the camera better than any supermodel! She came to us as a stray, and I can just imagine her dancing down the street, expecting her papparazi to jump out at her. She is a loving dog, likes to cuddle up to you...and looks good doing it! She is around the 1 year old age range. If interested in Celine, please fill out our screening form.
Our Featured Cat is Riata!

Riata came to us from someone who could no longer keep her - the story of the week here in Trenton. Riata is very sweet and gentle. She is under one year old and likes to walk around and explore. Not a hider, just very laid back and sweet. She should adjust well to any new surroundings. Likes other cats and even dogs don't seem to bother her too much. Very likeable cat. Ready now. Tested and UTD on all shots etc. Absolutely lovely. We do not know if she is spayed, but we assist you in finding low cost spay neuter programs in your area and will follow up until it is done.

How to adopt

If you see a DOG that you like you must email trentonshelter@yahoo.com to see if it is still available. Please be sure to mention the cage number and/or name of the dog. You can also see our adoptable dogs at Petsmart in Fairless Hills, PA every Sunday from 12-4 pm. Come on out!

If you see a CAT that you like, please click on its picture to find the specific email link for this animal. This link will take you directly either to that cat's foster parent or to the cat volunteer at the shelter.

All potential adopters MUST fill out an application or visit our dogs and cats at the shelter adoption days. NO HOLDS WILL BE GIVEN WITHOUT AN APPROVED APPLICATION. The shelter reserves the right to deny adoptions. The animals will be placed in the best possible environment for the animals. THE TRENTON ANIMAL SHELTER HAS A STRICT SPAY/NEUTER POLICY. There is no acceptable excuse for not having your animals spayed and neutered other than medical (i.e. heart condition). If your current animals are not spayed or neutered you MUST provide proof from your veterinarian as to the medical reason why. OVER 9,000 ANIMALS ARE PUT TO SLEEP EACH DAY IN THIS COUNTRY, PLEASE HELP STOP OVERPOPULATION AND THE SENSELESS DESTRUCTION OF THESE POOR ANIMALS. Ask your vet about the benefits of Spaying/Neutering your pet, it could save their life and they could live up to 5 years longer! Personal and vet references are required and will be checked. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE COMPLETE NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR VET (IF APPLICABLE), YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DENIED!
